Reese’s Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate fudge cake mix
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 cup water
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1 cup chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups (plus more for topping)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the chocolate cake mix as directed on the box using eggs, oil, and water. Pour batter into prepared dish.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture evenly over the cake batter and swirl gently with a knife.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped Reese’s on top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is just set. The cake will have a gooey “earthquake” effect with cracks and craters.
Cool slightly, then top with more Reese’s cups if desired before serving.
