A reader named Sherrie shared this recipe with us last year, and I wanted to share it again for everyone new here!

Sherrie says, "I love this recipe of my mom's. I have no idea where she got it, but I remember her making this between the 50s-70s."
Sour Cream Swedish Meatballs
1 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb ground pork or use all beef
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 TB chopped onion
1/8 tsp all spice
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/4 tsp salt
Combine above, mix well. Shape into balls. Brown balls in butter on all sides.
Dissolve 2 beef bouillon cubes in 2 cups hot water. Pour over meatballs. Cover & simmer 30 minutes.
Remove meatballs & keep them hot, turn heat down under pan.
2 TB flour
1/2 tsp onion salt
1/2 cup sour cream
Dash of all spice
Mix above, add to gravy over low heat, stirring constantly.
Add meatballs or pour over meatballs to serve.
(* I usually double the sauce as it's so good & I want lots of sauce. Good over rice, noodles, mashed potatoes.)
