*Homemade General Tso Sauce
If you want a bit spicy stirfry, you can try this recipe!
Recipe:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons chili sauce
1 teaspoon pepper flakes
3/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons cornstarch
In a small bowl, add all ingredients. Whisk well until fully combined. Set aside.
In a stove, turn on heat and warm a saucepan. Add the mixture. Whisk until boils to prevent lumps. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat. Ready to use or store in fridge up to 3 days.
*Everything Stir Fry Sauce
Keep this easy homemade Stir Fry Sauce on hand and make a restaurant quality Asian stir fry dinner at home.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup light soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Directions:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and the rest of the ingredients.
Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until it thickens to your desired consistency.
Remove from heat and ready to mix with your favorite stir fry vegetables, noodles, meat or seafood. Or let it cool and store in refrigerator for 1 week.
Note: use 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup per pan of stirfry (3-4 servings)
*Homemade Sweet and Sour Sauce with Pineapple Juice
So easy to make and it taste delicious!
Recipe:
1 cup pineapple juice
2 tbsp rice vinegar
3 tosps ketchup
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsps water +
1 tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp black pepper
Steps:
In a large cup, add pineapple juice, vinegar, ketchup, white sugar, and soy sauce. Mix well and set aside.
On a separate cup, add water and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
In a saucepan, add the pineapple juice mixture. Whisk and mix till the sugar dissolves. Add the cornstarch mixture and mix well. Keep whisking in low heat to medium heat until the sauce thickens. Add ground black pepper. Mix and ready to use.
Store in refrigerator up to 3 days.
**Homemade Satay Sauce (Peanut Sauce)
This is very easy recipe for you to try!
Perfect as dipping sauce skewers, summer rolls, tofu, or rice noodles or stirry sauce!
Recipe:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup coconut milk
2 tosp soy sauce
1 whole lime- juice
2 tbsps red curry paste or more if you want spicy
1 tsp honey or sugar
1/4 cup warm water
Steps:
Boiled first the coconut milk in a pan. Then, Mix all ingredients in until fully combined and creamy. Ready to use. Enjoy!
Optional garnish: chopped peanuts, chili flakes, sesame seeds
Note:
stores very well in a canning jar/airtight container for 3 days in the refrigerator.
