Butterfinger Puppy Chow
Ingredients:
- 9 cups crispy rice cereal squares
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 Butterfinger candy bars, chopped into small pieces
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, measure out the crispy rice cereal and set aside.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.
3. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and fully melted.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently stir to coat all the cereal evenly.
6. Transfer the coated cereal into a large resealable plastic bag.
7. Add powdered sugar to the bag, seal it, and shake vigorously until the cereal is well coated.
8. Spread the coated cereal onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle chopped Butterfinger pieces over the top.
9. Let it cool completely before serving to allow the chocolate to set.
